Doug Everitt
The late Doug Everitt lived for 50 years in Kirtling with his wife Jean. Over his lifetime he experienced many changes in village life, and he kindly agreed to share his recollections with us.
Following are his personal account of aspects of life in this country village as it moved from post war rationing through to the present day.
We hope you enjoy looking back with us at a time in which the men worked together on the land and everyone would stop to pass the time of day with his neighbour.
