Hi Parish,

AT 7.30 p.m. at the Village Hall

PUTTING THE BUZZ BACK INTO THE

SHEA PARKLANDS OF BURKINA FASO

A TALK BY ELAINE MARSHALL OF BIRDLIFE INTERNATIONAL

(Elaine is a resident of Kirtling)

The shea tree grows from West to East, almost right across the middle of Africa. Oil from its nuts provides 80 million people with edible fat. It also appears in face creams and chocolates in Europe. Intensive agriculture, population pressure and climate change have contributed to a degraded landscape. We are connected to the shea parklands through the migrant birds who spend their summers here in UK and over winter in West Africa. Come and hear how the project that Elaine leads benefits people, birds and bees!

Donations welcome
