Hello everyone,

Spring has sprung and such lovely weather too!

Just a reminder of what is happening over the next few weeks.

Saturday is GRAND NATIONAL DAY and we are running a sweep stake so don't forget to pop in and pick a number at only £1 a go.  We will be showing the race in the bar.

THIS SUNDAY we are having a quiz starting at 5pm and this is always such a great evening, and is very popular too so please do arrive early to get a table.  We are having a fabulous raffle so please bring something to donate, there will be free snacks and a great evening all round.  The cost is £5 per person and children are free.  This is a Charity Event.  Regarding the snacks, I wonder what Hazel will rustle up this time? In the past we have had Pieders (slider version of mini pies), Roast Dinner in a Pie, Onion Bhajis, Samosas, Spring Rolls, Stews the list goes on and on, watch this space and get your taste buds a tingling  ….

Next week-end is Easter and we have a great menu lined up for Good Friday Fish Night, we have Tuna Steaks, Peeled Scampi with Pernod Sauce, Sea Bass and more…. so do book in early to avoid disappointment,  Easter Sunday we will be serving our delicious Sunday Roast and we will have some very chocolaty deliciousness on the menu too….

July 8th – Devils Dyke Morris Men will be delighting us again with this traditional quintessential English scene.  The dancing will commence at approximately 8.30 and we will have reduced price fish and chips on the menu so pop in for a hearty supper and enjoy this spectacle.

Fancy yourself as the next Ma Long, Paul Drinkhall, Kelly Sibley or Joanna Drinkhall this summer?  Then get yourself down here and sign up for our first Table Tennis Tournament, we will post match dates and it will be a knock out competition and the grand finale will be held on our Annual Gin and Beer Festival on Sunday 27th August.

More good news – due to popular demand we are going to carry on with our £2.00 for a pint of real ale from 3.00 – 5.00 every Sunday afternoon. When its gone, its gone …

 

And finally, we are sorry to say goodbye to Ali who has been with us for nearly two years, we wish her well, and we say HELLO to Jadie who is our new Bar Manager, Jadie has a wealth of experience and is looking forward to meeting you all, so do pop in to say hello.
